My relationship with Steve and Jaime has come full circle.   Last October, we had a blast shooting their Engagement Session, then in April, their Wedding.  Now it is time to “ Trash the Dress.”  I received a lot of inquires about ‘trash the dress’ sessions; do I offer it and what is “trash the dress?”   The answer is YES!

On their wedding day, a fear most brides have is getting their dress dirty!  The reality is, your dress will get dirty no matter what, but a “trash the dress” session embraces this fear and runs with it!  We take your beautiful gown and go have fun in places you would not go on your wedding day.  You do not trash the dress literally, its just a fun phrase.  HOWEVER, in this session we seriously trashed the dress, LOL!  We climbed on tires, played on railroad tracks, laid down on monuments and ran into the PPG water fountain!

Steve and Jaime are so much fun to photograph, and this session is proof!  Please make sure to check out the video at the end.  Thank you both for an amazing series of sessions!  Watch for their first look video coming soon! Oh and btw, Jaime is a Awesome Wedding Planner and I highly recommend her services to my clients!  Here is Jaime’s POST about her experience!

Over the course of booking Elizabeth and Jason, we developed a close relationship.  I love that part of this business, getting to know people and becoming friends for life!  You literally get paid to spend the best day of their lives with them.  I don’t think I have seen a Bride smile more than Elizabeth.  All day long she was laughing, playing, truly letting go and having the time of her life.  These images are proof of her happiness and Jason’s enjoyment of watching her.

Liz is on to me as she begins to laugh during their kiss, check out the cab driver, ha ha…oh well always looking for something different.

We had some funny moments on their first look shoot, Jason is commenting about the funny words written in the windows.

This is my favorite shot of the day, love the alley and bird. See Liz, I told you it would be awesome : )

In this shot, my second shooter Ben grabs a great wide angle of the Elizabeth being lead to the alter by both parents!  Love this, special thanks Ben you are amazing!

Jason and Liz booked the University Club in Oakland which is a beautiful grand space.

Thank you Elizabeth and Jason for booking me and allowing me to share a beautiful moment in your life.

  • Leeann Marie - Great job, Joey. I like your website lately too!

Sumer: Thanks for the support, I know how many wedding photos you see everyday!

  • dig it ( the main man ) - these are so sweet

  • Jason - Hey Buddy!

We just got back in town yesterday. We had a chance to look at the photos Wednesday (I think) after the Wedding, while we were in Punta Cana, DR. Fantastic work! I’m sorry that we didn’t have a chance to comment on them any sooner, but were very short on time when we did look at them. We also didn’t have access to the internet during our second week of our honeymoon (Caribbean Cruise).

We are really excited to see the rest of the pictures! Your work is truly a gift from God. Please continue to allow Him to use you through those gifts!

I really love the close up picture of Liz and I (facing each other, but with our eyes closed). You really draw out of us how we really are. And in that moment, we were just being the 2 of us, and enjoying the moment.

Thank you Joey. Big thumbs up!
    Jason (& Liz)

  • Jay Studio Photography - WOW. You’re very talented! I love these photos! :)

Joseph and Julia flew in from Atlanta for their engagement session and encountered our “typical” Pittsburgh weather.  It dropped into the low sixties which still seemed comfortable for a native but freezing if your use to eighty degrees all the time (must be nice to have normal weather, LOL)!  Anyway, Joseph couldn’t keep his hands off Julia so that helped keep her warm : ) .   A lot of my clients wonder what to wear on their engagement shoot?   I recommend one dressy outfit and one casual outfit because we typically shoot in two locations, one that is urban and one that is soft, (more natural).  The most important part about choosing your outfits is to be comfortable!  Love the clothes your in, these photos will last a lifetime and represent your relationship at that point.  I look forward to the wedding guys and thanks for having me.

  • Katie - Ooh, love them! Now I’m super excited to see how your wedding pics turn out!

  • Pamela DePetro - You both look beautiful, handsome and very much in love!
How exciting! Congratulations again…and thank you for including us in your plans~ Love, Big Arn and Pam

  • Julia - Wow, they are beautiful!! Thanks so much, Joey! The photo shoot was so much fun, and you really made us feel comfortable – especially since I was nervous at first :) You are an amazing photographer! I am so glad you will be doing our wedding.

  • Greta Howe - Haha I am literally the only reply to your incredible article?!?

  • Marta Forbes - You have done it once more. Incredible writing.

This E-Shoot turned out to be so much fun! At the end of our shoot, Jason surprised Liz with a birthday party on Mt. Washington of family and friends. Thanks for booking me and make sure to check the PHOTOS from their Engagement Session.

  • Elizabeth and Jason - Unbelieveable video! It looks like this must have taken you weeks to put together, but yet we know that can't be the case since we just had our e-shoot last Saturday!

You continue to put together top quality performances!

    Thank you!
