Jazz Live International was an “all-out blitz” of live jazz on the “Burgh”. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust brought accomplished, international artists to play in 23 separate downtown venues. It was all in one night, and man, was the music sweet! If you know me, I love portraits of musicians in the moment! There is so much beauty in their faces when they make that instrument flood with melody. It is an honor to be around so much award-winning talent! Here are some of my favorite portraits…
Great moment captured of photographer Renee Rosensteel feeling the music! Thanks Renee for the help in a jam : )

Hey Joey, the pictures from the JazzLive Festival all look beautiful, I love the picture from my gig at Little E’s! Do you have any other photos from that gig? I’d love to use some of your photos for my website, I would credit you as well of course. Feel free to contact me at
My studio is next door to the beautiful & historic Allegheny Cemetery (est. 1839). So, when Opera Theater of Pittsburgh and Attack Theatre announced their presentation of the dance-opera Euridice & Orpheus, I was a moth to the flame. Here is a teaser from the performance and the show is well worth the price of admission!! You can still catch this performance tonight at 7:30 and Saturday too. Come early and tour magnificent Allegheny Cemetery!

When I met James and Erin, they had me into their Shadyside home and it was love at first site! What a cute couple and beautiful city home. One of their favorite things to do is spend time together on their porch, so this session was a no-brainer! I heart porchville! Special thanks to Maurizia for the beautiful styling : )
